Fleet Eco Driving

Companies are searching in manys ways to save money. Implementing a Eco Driving program is just one way of being able to save.

Before starting a program, you should evaluate your current fleet of vehicles and the maintenance records. Secondly, team with your Risk Management and Human Resources to help implement your plan and your goals.

Next it is time to select a supplier that can provide the equipment and information you need for your  Eco Driving Program. There are many options that are available, and while price many times drives the decision, any solution that you select needs to be upgradeable! There are many solutions on the market that just have passive or live GPS and some will even have the ability to measure your drivers performance. These systems are not always upgradeable to adding cameras because the software may not be modified, or it would be too costly to open up the software to make changes.

Companies are finding that they can receive a reduction in their fleet insurance if they have on board cameras, that are recording their drivers while also measuring their driving performance, thus enhancing their Eco Driving Program.  Another benefit coming from on board cameras is the monitoring of your cargo. Having the cameras strategically located in the vehicle, will reduce theft and breakage.
